"The available technology is great, but in order to be effective, you must first understand the client's specific needs."

I came to Audicare Hearing Center from Alpena, MI. For 23 years I worked with clients of all ages in an Otolaryngology office. I was very active in the Lions Club Hearing program, where I served as the committee chairperson for many years. I also worked on a steering committee to initiate the infant hearing screening program at Alpena Regional Medical Center. I'm proud to say that all hospitals in Michigan now screen newborns for hearing loss. I enjoy the challenges that various clients bring to our center. The advancements in hearing technology are wonderful, but mostly I love getting to know clients on a personal level and help them achieve success so that they can enjoy a full life without being hindered by a hearing loss.

After completing my formal education, I quickly realized that there is a world of knowledge outside the classroom. I have always valued hearing because of my background in the music industry. I can appreciate experiencing the fullness of a Beethoven symphony, and I am committed to helping you hear as well as possible with the clarity that today's hearing technology that can provide. In addition to the thorough training provided by Dr. Marlene Bevan, I have gathered valuable insight into the hearing aid fitting process from my clients. Your feedback has enabled me to apply my knowledge in a caring manner to help you overcome the effects of hearing loss.
