Beyond Your Hearing Aid Fitting
You will adjust to the sound of hearing aids over time. Studies show that many people continue to have improvements in their hearing results with follow up and fine tuning in the hearing aids' programming.We will ask you to return within six months after your initial fitting has been completed so we can see how you are doing and if you may need additional help or programming adjustments.
We continue that process on a periodic basis to clean and adjust your hearing aids for the best results possible.
Regular Maintenance
The best hearing aid fittings reflect your individual needs and hearing abilities. Initially, fitting requirements are established through professional, objective testing procedures; however during the adjustment period, your fitter may redefine that fitting by sharpening or softening the subjective characteristics of the sound you hear through your hearing aid.
Major complaints of noise, stuffiness and clatter can be relieved through hearing aid adjustments during this time. An ongoing relationship with your hearing aid fitter is important to assure that you reach your hearing potential and obtain the best performance from your hearing aid system.
